Employer Group Health Plans (EGHP) is insurance sponsored by an employer or union.

• Many options available to small business
• Employers with 50 full-time employees or more must offer insurance to their employees.

The Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) via healthcare.gov that helps businesses provide health coverage to their employees.

• SHOP insurance is generally available to employers with 1-50 full-time employees (FTEs). 
• If you have fewer than 25 employees, you may qualify for the Small Business Health Care Tax Credit, if you buy SHOP insurance

Allows an eligible employee (and dependents) who leaves a company to continue coverage under the company’s health plan, for a limited period of time.
